Mi 8 Explorer Edition is a combination of both flagship rate specs and an eye-catching design. I am #MasterOfSpeed from POCO Crew and today we are going to do a small hands-on review for Xiaomi’s Black Shark!
Mi 8 EE is powered by top of the line Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset with 8 GB of RAM & 128 GB of storage. It also houses a 3000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 4+ enabled. This device sports a 6.21-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen with are solution of 1080 x 2248 pixels.
Design & Build Quality
Mi 8 EE has a glossy back with a nice grip but if you are a rough user, you should get a cover. But once you flip to the backside of the device, you will fall in love with it. Yes, it’s that beautiful. It has the most innovative design with Mi’s philosophy engraved “ INNOVATION FOR EVERYONE”. It houses a USB Type-C port at the bottom with speaker grills which are loud and clear. The power & volume buttons are also tactile and housed properly on the right.
It sports a super AMOLED display so it’s bright and color rich. Mi 8 EE is one of the first devices to come up with an in-displayfinger print sensor which is fast but not faster than regular fingerprint at the back. It also houses a notch which includes earpiece, selfie camera, proximity sensor,ambient sensor, infrared lens, flood illuminator, and dot projector. It supports HDR 10 & always on display also. There’s absolutely no complaint with the display.
Mi 8 EE comes with 845 Qualcomm Snapdragon processor driven by an artificial intelligence engine which makes it a beast. There are no hiccups and runs buttery smooth with Miui 10 on top of it. With 128 GB of onboard storage, there’s no shortage of memory which makes it a perfect device for power users.
The rear camera is of 12 MP Sony IMX363 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 4-axis OIS support & dual pixel PDAF. The secondary camera is another 12 MP S5K3M3 sensor with f/2.4 aperture & 2x optical zoom. The cameras take good picture sin day-light condition. With HDR & AI enabled it brings out the shadows and pictures look crispy. The selfie camera is also a whopping 20MP unit which takes perfect portrait shots with proper edge detections. In the recent update,MI 8 EE received the night-mode update which enables it to take better nightshots. Pro mode enables all the features you need for professional photography and makes it a perfect camera-centric device.
Mi 8 EE is really a beauty with that eye-catching back panel and a beast with the top of the line 845 SD 845 processor. It excels in the camera segment with a beautiful AMOLED display making it a complete package for users.
