Greetings POCO Fans!
We’ve had a number of questions from our community eagerly awaiting news on the future development for POCO, especially the arrival of some most-wanted features. Well, this week’s community update has something for everybody! It’s a good way to begin this month, and so, before we meander into other things, let’s get started!
Touch lag and wrong touch issue
We are working with beta users closely and are running final validations for the optimized solution which will be included in next stable version. Our dev team is checking internally and will schedule the release as soon as possible.
Notification dismissed from status bar, expect to keep notification showing in status bar
We read every suggestion and hereby confirm that we will be going forward with the solution mentioned below:
We will add the option to hide AM / PM in order to show more notification icons. Development is almost done, we will release it as soon as validation is done.
For those who prefer a 2-row design, kindly note that we haven’t picked this option due to the bad readability and compatibility as noticed in our prototype
Support for Widevine L1
POCO F1and POCOPHONE F1 both support DRM-protected contents from Amazon Prime Video and HotStar now. Cheers!
Please read following steps if the contents cannot be played properly on your POCO F1 or POCOPHONE F1:
* Ensure you are connected to the Internet
* Ensure at least one fingerprint is enrolled
* Go to Settings - Lock screen & password - Manage fingerprints - Fingerprint payments - Widevine (L1)
* Click “Certificate” button to download Widevine certification key
4K 60FPS recording
This feature has now been released in closed beta. Enjoy the super recording experience but do pay attention to your storage space. Coming in stable update soon.
App icon animation is missing when going back to home
Dev team is checking the issue and will fix it soon
Battery draining issue of Android P
We have found some framework issues and optimised it in the open beta. However some 3rd party apps will cause to battery draining as well. It would be very helpful if POCO users could share us their log info for analysis.
Takes too long to take photos when the flash light is on
Our camera team is optimising the issue and we will sort it out soon
‘OK Google’ does not work in some scenarios
We found it is mostly happened on Android P devices, we are working with Google on this issue.
And with that, we come to a halt for this week’s update. There will be more news and updates over the coming days, so do stay tuned!
